Drawing from years of research and hands-on experience, we’ve recreated the distinct character of the most coveted denim from the 1950s to 1970s. Each fabric is crafted with precision to mirror the uniform texture and authentic fade patterns found in the vintage pieces preserved in the Kato archives—an homage to denim’s golden era, reimagined for today.

The Pen Slim fit in our signature indigo 14oz 4 way stretch selvedge, has undergone a heavy bleach wash to strip almost all the indigo down to its last remnants, leaving behind a pale blue hue that evokes sun-bleached summer nostalgia.
